Construction sector: Construction permits in Ha Noi have been issued digitally only
The Ha Noi public services centre is now implementing digital-only method for issuing construction permits, covering all types of construction and building. It is expected to speed up the construction process of all real estate projects, decrease cost, enhance transparency and support the real estate industry.
PV Power (POW VN): Nhon Trach 3 & 4 projects could supply 60% of aggregate electricity demand in Dong Nai province.
These two LNG cryogenic power plants are the first ones in 21-planned LNG cryogenic power projects approved in the 8th National Power Development Plan for the next 6 years. Nhon Trach 3 came into operation early year, while Nhon Trach 4 completed the first-fire and started its test run, expected to generate electricity commercially in Q4 2025. Additionally, three other power plants with designed capacity of 1,500 MW each are pipelined for development. By the end of 2024, PV Power had a collective electricity generation capacity of 4,205 MW, equivalent to 5.4% of national capacity. The company reported bullish Q1 results with revenue of VND8,150 billion (about USD313 million, up +30.5% YoY) and net income of VND445 billion, up +60.3% YoY). POW VN closed at VND13,100 per share on 9th June 2025, hence 24.0x P/E and 0.9x P/B.
Deo Nai – Coc Sau – TKV (TD6 VN): Post-merger re-listing
The first day of trading of nearly 62 million TD6 VN shares on HNX is 16th June 2025. The company was formed after the merger between Coc Sau Coal - Vinacomin (TC6 VN) and Deo Nai Coal - Vinacomin (TDN VN) last year, following the corporate restructuring plan of the state-owned Vinacomin (also called TKV). Both TC6 VN and TDN VN shares had 24th June 2024 as their last trading day. By now, with the post-merger integration, the new entity has nearly 3,800 employees operating at 23 different mines and factories, across 14 departments, producing 2.9 million tons of coal annually. In Q1 2025, the company recorded revenue of VND1,688 billion (about USD65 million, up +10% compared to the sum of its predecessors’ Q1 2024 revenue) and net income of over VND6 billion (about USD230,000). Reference price of TD6 VN on the first day is VND11,700 per share, and the capped volatility is +/-30%, higher than normal day with +/-10%.
BIDV Insurance (BIC VN): Bonus issue passed
The P&C insurer announced shareholders will receive 723 shares for every 1,000 shares held, along with a cash dividend of VND1,500 per share. BIC closed at VND37,150 (-2.24%, DoD).
