During the visit to the French Republic, Vietnam and France moved to strengthen cooperation in finance, investment, and capital mobilization for strategic projects. Vietnam requested that France continue providing concessional loans while also attracting investment in infrastructure, manufacturing, renewable energy, and high-tech sectors. Notably, Rothschild & Co proposed assisting Vietnam in accelerating the roadmap to upgrade its credit rating to "Investment Grade," expanding its international investor base, developing capital markets, and mobilizing funds for key infrastructure projects—including the North-South high-speed railway and various power projects.
During talks held on September 12, Vietnam proposed that India consider launching negotiations for a bilateral Free Trade Agreement (FTA), establishing economic corridors and supply chains, and expediting the review of the ASEAN-India Trade in Goods Agreement (AITIGA) to achieve a bilateral trade target of $25 billion by 2030. The two sides also agreed to explore enhancing railway connectivity, establishing a South Asia–Southeast Asia corridor, and linking their respective seaports to the Asia-Europe maritime route.
