TRADING STRATEGY
The stock market corrected downwards, closing at 1,787.45 points with lower-than-average trading volume. A divergent trend emerged. Selling pressure started early and intensified towards the end of the session in the Financial Services, Real Estate, and some VN30 stocks. Meanwhile, the Food and Beverage sector, along with a few individual stocks in the Banking and Financial Services groups, played a positive role in attracting capital, helping to support the overall index. Foreign investors increased net selling. After successfully testing the support zone around 1,760 points, the VN-Index is currently in a short-term technical recovery phase, heading towards the resistance area of 1,820-1,840 points. As previously noted, investors should pay more attention to stocks that are consolidating after the previous large correction and are less affected by the multi-directional fluctuations of the overall market.
The VN-Index is likely to fluctuate between 1,780 and 1,800 points today. Investors should closely monitor price movements and manage risk based on the individual performance of each stock in their short-term portfolio. On the other hand, for medium- and long-term portfolios, prioritize holding or partially investing in fundamentally sound stocks with attractive valuations and positive prospects for business growth in the second half of 2026.
