Vietnam International Bank (VIB VN) – CFO registered to buy 3 million shares
Mr. Ho Van Long – Deputy CEO and also CFO of the bank, registered to purchase 3 million VIB VN shares from 7th November to 6th December, in order to increase his value investment. If successful, he will own 14.53 million shares, excluding 1.96 million stock dividend shares and 150 thousand un-vested ESOP shares, equivalent to 0.6% of shares outstanding. VIB VN closed at VND18,500 per share on 4th November 2024, down -9.4% from its 52-week high, thus 7.7x P/E and 1.4x P/B.
911 Group (NO1 VN) – Plan to establish 911 Taxi using Vinfast electric cars
Civil engineering truck, crane, and forklift enterprise 911 Group, is examining the setup of an electric car fleet using Vinfast vehicles. Following the EGM 2024 documents, the management team wants shareholders to approve some major changes as follows: (1) To increase number of directors from 5 to 7 and director election; (2) To do business with Vinfast in order to purchase cars and to rent battery in Q2 2025; (3) Other changes in the corporate charter and internal regulations. The company was established in 2011 and started with selling industrial machinery and industrial trucks from XCMG, Z-ton, and KCP before its IPO in early 2022. Regarding financial position, Q3 2024 net revenue is VND226 billion (about USD8.9 million, down -12.6% YoY), and net income is VND4.8 billion (about USD0.2 million, up +26.0% YoY). NO1 VN closed at VND10,500 per share on 4th November 2024, down -11.0% from its 52-week high, thus 8.4x P/E and 0.8x P/B.
Ha Giang Mineral (HGM VN) – Cash dividends declared
Lead, Zinc and minerals company, Ha Giang Mineral declared its cash dividend of VND2,000 per share, expected to be settled on 29th November, funded from 2024 profit after tax. The Ex-dividend date is 13th November. Ha Giang Mineral specializes in mining and refining antimony, lead, and zinc ore - and is also Vietnam’s #1 antimony producer. HGM reported its financial statements for Q3 2024 with net revenue of VND112 billion (about USD4.4 million, up +118.1% YoY) and net income of VND59 billion (about USD2.3 million, up +218% YoY). HGM VN closed at its all-time high of VND103,400 per share on 4th November 2024, up +206.4% from its 52-week low, thus 9.7x P/E and 4.2x P/B.
HNX: In the month of October 2024, there were 22 government bond auctions with total proceeds of VND30,575 billion (about USD1.21 billion). Tenors ranged from 5 to 30 years. YTD, the State Treasury has already raised over VND302 trillion (about USD11.93 billion), equivalent to 75.6% of the full-year 2024 projection.
