Port of Hai Phong JSC (PHP VN) and Vietnam Maritime Commercial Bank (MSB VN)
Following the extraordinary information disclosure from the port operator, it sold all of it's remaining stake in MSB via order matching. The disclosure does not reveal neither the sold quantity of shares nor transaction price. As of 30th June 2024, the port operator recorded a book value of MSB investment of VND15.5 billion but not no information about fair market value due to the unavailability of accounting standard for valuation, explained by the company in writing.
The port operator reported its financials for Q2 2024 with net revenue of VND665 billion (about USD26.6 million, up +26.8% YoY) and net income of VND173 billion (USD6.9 million, down -4.5% YoY). Additionally, the auditor - UHY, gave them a qualified opinion for the reviewed 1H 2024 financial report. PHP VN was traded at intra-day VWAP of VND28,250 per share on 29th August 2024, down -9.9% from its 52-week high of VND31,360 per share, but up +41.6% from its 52-week low of VND19,950 per share.
Meanwhile MSB announced its financials for Q2 2024 with total operating income of VND3,913 billion (about USD156.5 million, up +10.9% YoY) and net income of VND1,730 billion (about USD69.2 million, up +6.9%). MSB VN closed at VND11,550 per share on 29th August 2024, slightly down -5.6% from its adjusted 52-week high of VND12,230 per shares
PC1 Group JSC (PC1 VN) - A Major Shareholder Registered To Sell Out All Of His Stake
Following the disclosure of the Board member and also a major shareholder - Mr. Phan Ngoc Hieu, he registered to sell all of his 15.6 million PC1 VN shares, equivalent to 5% of shares outstanding. He announced that the purpose of this trade relates to restructuring his personal investment portfolio. Currently, he is the 3rd largest shareholder of PC1 Group and only the Chairman Mr. Trinh Van Tuan, and a strategic investor, BEHS JSC owns more shares than him.
PC1 reported a bullish financial result for Q2 2024 with consolidated net revenue of VND3,091 billion (about USD123.6 million, up +109.9% YoY) and net income of VND62 billion (about USD2.5 million). PC1 VN closed at VND28,300 on 29th August 2024, down -11.0% from its 52-week high of VND31.800 per share in mid-July 2024.
