National news:
On August 27, 2024, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) continued to suspend money absorption activities and instead injected a net amount of VND 15 trillion through liquidity support channels. This marked the second consecutive session in which the SBV took this measure, following a reduction in the treasury bill interest rate from 4.5% to 4.15% in previous sessions. This move reflects the SBV's goal of supporting banking system liquidity and maintaining a lower and more stable interbank interest rate level in the near future.
TRADING STRATEGY
The stock market closed with a slight increase at the 1,280-point level, with liquidity slightly decreasing compared to the previous trading session. There was increased divergence among sectors as capital flows tended to target large-cap real estate stocks. The VN-Index is likely to maintain a slight increase in the 1,280-1,285 point range today.
The market experienced its fourth consecutive session of sideways movement near the old resistance area of 1,290-1,300 points. Although overall sentiment remains cautious, selling pressure is still under control , and capital flows are tending to target large-cap stocks. The VN-Index is still in a positive accumulation phase before breaking through the peak. Investors may consider restructuring their portfolios towards focused investments in stocks with stable fundamentals and attractive valuations for holding positions or flexible short-term trading in stocks with good business results and high liquidity.
